Ancient Mayan and Aztec civilizations practiced Ear Coning, as did the Egyptians.  The earliest methods used hollow reeds, which were later dipped into wax to enhance the process.

These early peoples believed that Ear Coning cleansed both the body and soul.  Some practitioners speculate that the art of Ear Coning originated in the lost land of Atlantis and migrated when the people fled.

From Egypt, the practice moved into the Near East, but was almost forgotten.  From MesoAmerica, the practice of Ear Coning spread north, so that when European settlers arrived in the New World, they found it had arrived before them.

Ear Coning was introduced into Europe at this time, but with the advent of modern medicine, people soon forgot about Ear Coning and other alternative techniques.

However, in these modern times, we have begun to realize that allopathics are not always the most beneficial approach.  We are turning once again to older and more trusted forms of healing.

Cleaning the ear with syringe pressure and fluid can be a harsh and uncomfortable procedure, and people are finding gentler and more peaceful alternatives.

Ear Coning is often used to clean the ear of wax and debris, and it has been credited with many more benefits.  These benefits are listed below, not because they have been verified by medical science, but for informational purposes only.
